during my pursuit of 40m WAS CW. It was a fun journey. Now, to set my

on something else. ;)

Please read on for the story of how I achieved it...

Having just completed my Elecraft K2 in October 2010, I set the

goal of confirming CW contacts on 40m for all of the states in

the USA. Here's a log of that pursuit. Please note that in the

case where I have contact with more than one station in a state,

only the first, confirmed station is listed here.

Most contacts have been achieved by either me calling CQ or me

responding to a CQ. The K3UK sked page has been helpful in picking

up the "hard ones". As always, THANKS FOR QSL'ING!!!

I am always open to setting up a sked in order to confirm a state

I do not have or help someone out who is looking for North Carolina

on CW. My antenna is not efficient enough to make reliable contacts

with phone modes and I don't have digital capabilities set up on

my K2 yet.

UPDATE!!! Saturday (22 Jan. 2011) I made my final CW contacts

with amateurs in Alaska (KL8DX) and Montana (KH6OZ) to complete my

WAS CW award -- however, I still hope to get them on 40m to get the

40m endorsement as well. I'm not giving up on this quest yet, and

still have to collect all of the QSLs for 40m below. Hopefully they

will come in in the next few weeks.
